Empowering Growth: HippoHub’s Comprehensive Training Program for KTC

At HippoHub, we are dedicated to fostering growth and development through innovative training solutions.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive training program tailored for KTC (Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council), developed to align with their unique needs and promote employee development.

Project Overview

The proposed project was meticulously crafted based on the requirements gathered during the KTC member coordinators meeting on March 30th, 2023, at the Mayfield Inn Conference Center in Edmonton, along with additional consultations with KTC throughout April.

The primary goal was to develop a holistic training program that aligns with KTC’s needs and promotes employee development.

High-Level Deliverables

1. Occupational Profiles

HippoHub collaborated closely with KTC to develop a template for occupational profiles tailored to their organizational needs.

Upon approval, we drafted profiles for various job roles within the organization and configured the LMS (Learning Management System) with these newly created profiles.

This enables KTC to track employee skills and knowledge, ensuring that training aligns with job requirements.

The occupational profiles serve multiple HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.

2. Configure & Implement Learning Management System (LMS)

We configured and implemented the LMS, working with community representatives to facilitate onsite training sessions and set up access to learning materials from computers in ISET offices, social centers, schools, and band departments.

We also provided a link for participants to take the training on their mobile devices, ensuring accessibility for all, regardless of their circumstances.

By leveraging the LMS and collaborating with community representatives, the system supports self-study and classroom group training for on-reserve and off-reserve members, providing training when and where it is needed.

3. Customize Course Libraries

HippoHub customized the Essential Life Skills, Career Planning, Trades Skills, Driver’s Skills, and Safety Training Course Libraries to align with the newly created occupational profiles and the communities’ needs.

This customization provides KTC with a comprehensive set of courses tailored to meet the organization’s and communities’ needs.

The successful completion of this project marks a significant milestone in our collaboration with KTC. At HippoHub, we are proud to have developed a comprehensive training program that not only meets the immediate needs of KTC but also sets the foundation for sustained growth and development.
